Greetings, warriors, the next events have been planned and now is the time to get started on them. The rubric has been laid out previously, however, some changes have been made and dates have been added.
E1: Motivation
Starts: July 1st
Ends: July 14th
For every person, a reason to get up in the morning is different. Some have given actual thought to why they move forward, while others just...seem to move in a more linear pattern. But overall, what do they strive for? Here is your chance to show why a character of yours gets out of bed every morning. This can be done through a single picture with caption, a comic page, or short story.
E2: Envisioning the Future
Starts: July 14th
Ends: July 28th
Some people often think of where they will be 5, 10, or even 30 years from now. Well, what does your character forsee in their future? Do they think death approaches? Will they find their one true love? Or do they see themselves as successful? Draw a picture and add a caption, draw a comic page, or write a short story based on where characters see themselves in the future.
E3: Deepest Darkest Fears
Starts: July 28th
Ends: August 14th
Every person fears something, even if they don't want to admit. From the common fears of different animals or creatures, to the overarching fear of being alone. From phobias of being plunged beneath the waves, perhaps dying of thirst out at sea, this time around, we will get a taste of what certain characters fear. Draw a pic with a caption or a comic, or write a short story talking about a character's fear or phobia. Don't be afraid to go deep.
E4: Together We Stand...or Fall-End
Starts: August 14th
Ends: August 31st
Sometimes what people need is someone beside them to help them....or bring them to their demise. This last project involves at least two characters, based on the past three events draw a pic, comic page, or write a short story about two characters. They could be helping each other get themselves motivated to take on the day or facing their fears.
All four events do not have to be done, however the final one heavily depends on the first three. Sketches can be submitted for any event.
